DVA developed the Home Office website for all police force recruitment, to integrate with the Saatchi “Could You?” TV campaign. Potential applicants had to get to the relevant information and applications process quickly and easily, so we needed to understand the target audiences. We ran focus groups around the UK with groups of applicants, enabling us to understand their behaviour and information needs.

When The New York Times asked Bill Gates, “If you were a mayor, how would you use the power of technology to create economic development opportunities for your city?”, he singled out Hampshire County Council’s Hantsweb website as an excellent public sector resource. Thanks Bill, we did that. The stamp of approval is well deserved, the site is a massive and invaluable source of information and communications hub. In fact the site is really a collection of several hundred sites under the Hantsweb masthead, managed by separate teams and organisations.

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) is a Government Trading Fund and part of the Ministry of Defence. It has been charting the world’s oceans for over 200 years, and offers cutting edge products and services. In spite of this, UKHO needed to raise its profile in the global defence community and to increase awareness of the full range of their products and services. Using a combination of CGI and live action cut to a dynamic music track, we created a dynamic and attention grabbing showcase for the annual Defence Exhibition and for future exhibitions and events.
