Good communication is crucial to the smooth running of a project.
We like to establish a point of contact and make regular progress reports. No two projects are the same, so we start by agreeing the preferredway of working, typically this might involve thefollowing processes:
- Once direction is established, a detailed breakdown of costs is provided for approval, along with timelines and deliverables.
- We devise success criteria and metrics. It is important that we agree up front what constitutes success, both for the deliveryand from the end user perspective.
- Once the project is underway, we make communication integral, with a weekly email bulletin on the week’s activities and plansfor the following week, including client action.
- For projects running over several months, we issue a short report summarising the status of work at the end of each month and what’s going to be happening next month. Also where relevant, we like to hold monthly planning meetings.
- Review meetings are held at the end of every project to discuss any relevant feedback and the way forward.
- Ideally, when working with a client over a longer period, we hold quarterly review meetings to report on what’s been achieved and delivered and discuss any issues arising.
