VT Group (formerly Vosper Thornycroft) required an attention grabbing visual loop that would play on their stand at the Defence show.
An important aspect of the brief was that the loop should introduce and tie together the various divisions of the group from shipbuilding, aerospace and tanks maintenance to Logistics and Fire-training.
We recommended running a continuous loop from DVD. The video played no-stop without any issues or pauses during the 4 day show from DVD and was projected across a number of LED screens and on to a large projection canopy above the stand.The visual narrative seamlessly journeys through all the divisions including a view from space to flying thorough the clouds alongside aircraft, from a landing strip into air control towers, from a ships bridge to underwater propeller shafts, though silicon chips and control devices, a fire training simulator and finally back out as radio pulses into space. Messaging was overlaid adding information to the journey.
The piece also featured a rich sound bed and effects produced by DVA’s sound dept. It became apparent that VT also required a way of collating assets (including powerpoint files, acrobat files, movies, stills etc) into custom made CDROMs to give to potential customers at the stand. So we also designed a piece of software that did just that.
